Holiday Fur Coat Drive

Posted by 4thUadmin Oct 07 2007 under A Time To Serve

Open your closets and your warm hearts for our holiday fur coat drive. Working with the Humane Society, we’ll send fur items (jackets, stoles, hats, gloves, trim, scarves and muffs), to wildlife rehabilitators, who use them as bedding and nesting material for orphaned and injured animals in their care. Please drop off your tax-deductible donations to Marisa from October 9-December 21.

Fall Congregational Meeting

Posted by 4thUadmin Oct 07 2007 under Meetings

There will be a crucial congregational meeting on Sunday, October 28 at 12:30 PM, and an informational meeting to precede it on Oct. 14.

Please mark your calendar for this important meeting.  Because we’ll be taking votes on matters relating to the Parish Hall, WE NEED TWO-THIRDS OF OUR VOTING MEMBERSHIP PRESENT. You are a voting member if you joined in the last six months and made a pledge of record within the last 12 months. If you have not made such a pledge, the deadline to do so is OCT. 15, 2007. ABSOLUTELY NO PLEDGES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE CONGREGATIONAL MEETING, AND NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE. You should have received an email with more details about the Parish Hall proposal; if you didn’t, please call the office and we’ll send one out to you.

In addition, an informational meeting about the Parish Hall proposal will be held at 12:30 PM Sunday, Oct. 14 in the sanctuary, featuring representatives from Denham Wolf, our real estate consultants, Beth Putnam, Assistant to the Minister for Administration, and others. Please come with your questions and comments in preparation for the Oct. 28 vote.
