Fourth Universalist Society in the City of New York

Rev. Meg Barnhouse, singer, songwriter, humorist and minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg, SC, will give a performance at Community Church (40 E. 35th St. between Park and Madison Avenues, NY, NY 10016) on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 PM. The doors will open at 7:00 PM.

Tickets, which cost $10, will be available at the services at 4th U on Sunday, April 6, 13 and 20, and at Community Church. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the concert.

Meg will also be preaching at 4th U on Sunday, April 27.

After graduating from Duke University and Princeton Theological Seminary, she worked as Chaplain to Converse College for six years, teaching Public Speaking, Human Sexuality, World Religions, and other courses. Meg has been active in the community, helping to found the SAFE Homes Network for battered women. She has a private pastoral counseling practice; she is credentialed as a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Meg also travels nationwide as a speaker, singer/songwriter and humorist. Meg is the mother of two wise, funny and handsome sons. She has a second-degree black belt in karate, and is a commentator for NC Public Radio on a segment called “Radio Free Bubba.” She has also been heard on National Public Radio’s “Weekend All Things Considered,” and is author of the books “The Best of Radio Free Bubba,” “Rock of Ages at the Taj Mahal,” “Waking Up the Karma Fairy,” and “Return of Radio Free Bubba.”
