The annual dance party hosted by the Narwhals will take place in the sanctuary at Fourth U on March 15 at 8:00 PM. The band provides munchies, soft drinks and, best of all, live music for your dancing and listening pleasure. Adult beverages are BYOB. To cover the cost of renting this terrific venue, there is a suggested donation of $10 for each person 13 and over. Kids are welcome, so feel free to bring the entire family. Join us after the service on March 9 for “Fanning the Flames: A Congregational Workshop on Personal Ministry,” a workshop to explore what fuels your fire of commitment. Simple tools and discussion will identify your personal ministry. If you don’t think you have one, this is a conversation for you. If you think you have one, but are tired and drained, this is a conversation for you. Beth Putnam and Jennifer Jackson will lead this short workshop.
The First Thursdays at Fourth U adult RE series explores spirituality and spiritual practices from a UU perspective. On Thursday, March 6, from 6:00-8:00 PM, Amy Strano Bennett, Fourth U’s former intern minister, will lead this highly interactive workshop on prayer, based on the book Simply Pray: A Modern Spiritual Practice to Deepen Your Life by Erik Walker Wikstrom. Amy is a recent graduate of Union Theological Seminary who will be ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry on April 13, 2008. This event is sponsored by the Worship Arts Committee.
