First Thursdays at 4th U

The Fourth Universalist Society of New York is pleased to announce the launch of a new adult religious exploration workshop series on Thursday, October 4.

First Thursdays at Fourth U: Programs for Mind, Body and Spirit will invite participants to explore spirituality in all its various forms from a Unitarian Universalist perspective, drawing on intellectual, experiential and emotional resources to deepen personal understanding and practice. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The first workshop, led by Reverend McNatt, will be on Thursday, October 4th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Subsequent workshops will take place on the 1st Thursday of each month through June 2008. Light dinner will be served and childcare will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there! Newcomer Orientation

Sunday, September 9, 12:30 PM: Are you visiting 4th U? Do you have questions or want to learn more about us? Anyone who has an interest in 4th U, has questions about Unitarian Universalism or wants to share their spiritual journey is welcome to attend. Meet at the Membership table after service and speak with our greeters and long time members.

Central Park Liberante Walk

September 2, 9 AM: This circular walk through one of New York’s finest treasures starts at the front doors of 4th U, with a stop at Strawberry Fields, breakfast at the Boathouse (about $3), a visit to the “Tree of Life” and the “Rock of Ages”, and a trip through The Ramble, exiting at 78th street in time for the Sunday service. Join us at 9 AM on the first Sunday of every month. You might even learn a little bit of New York and Central Park history along the way!
